We read the daily headlines and turn on the television
and then see and hear
horrible news. Many live in a state of anxiety and bewilderment
by hearing
conflicting viewpoints. Most American are restless and
dissatisfied and sadly
insecure, while others voice their discontentment over
things we must endure.
We need to understand that this violent age in which
we live is filled with
nameless fears.
So, instead of reading headlines and listening to endless
bad news on the
television, let us as Christians open our Bibles and
in so doing we'll find that this
age is no different from the ones that have gone before
it. Satan is still alive and
he is working harder than ever to fill people's minds
with nameless fears. But in
every hour of crisis, God has opened a door. Read your
Bible and you will find that
all who seek God's guidance and trust in His plan endure
even in the face of
physical persecution.
God has provided answers not found in mankind. Christians
can live knowing that
Christ is truly victorious and we can be also by taking
up our crosses daily and
following closely to Him. NASA spends millions of dollars
each year trying to answer
the question, "From where did man and this universe come?"
God provides the
answer. Millions more are spent by people trying to answer
the question, "What
am I doing here and where am I going?" Again God provides
the answer. Others
turn to Christians and say, "If God is truly in control
as you say why is there so
much evil?" All we have to do is turn to God's Word for
He has provided the answer
even to this question.
God provides answers to all of life's difficult questions,
but one must search His
divine word to find them{ Invite your friends and neighbors
to our gospel meeting
starting next Sunday and maybe they will come and find
the answers that you have
been trying to show them all along. Do you know people
who are looking for
answers? Do you know people who are hurling? Do you know
people who need the
peace that passes understanding that only God can give?
If you do, then you know
people who need to come to our meeting. This may be the
time when you ask that
they will decide to come. Let's fill the building each
time the doors are open
because God truly has the answers.
