Below are pictures of Terry
and Ruth at work in Panama doing what they can to help
with the work at the children’s
home and for the students at the preaching school.
Terry reported that the new
school year is off and running for the new preaching students.
For many years our members have gone on Missionary trips
to Peru and Panama. During the day they work with medical teams, in the
kitchens or wherever they were most needed. On breaks and in the
evenings they teach the Word of God and answer Bible questions. Through
their teaching many have heard the Word (see Romans 10:17), believed that
Jesus died for our our sins, was raised from the dead to sit on the right
hand side of God and now makes intercession for us (see Romans 8:34), repented
of their sins (see Acts 20:21) confessing that Jesus was and is the Son
of God (see Matthew 10:32-33), and were baptized into Christ (see Romans
6:3-17) for the remission of sins (see Acts 2:38). Many of these
baptized are now spreading the gospel to their friends and families (see
Matthew 28:19-20).
Currently we believe that our support is more effective
in educating Latin men to be gospel preachers. These schools are located
in their countries, where they will work upon graduation and we have supported
and continue to support some of those men who have graduated from these
schools so that they can work in their own country.
We also help support:
-
two members from the church in Lebanon on a trip to Latin
America at least once a year.
-
the Children of Americas, which is in Panama
-
men who attend The Bible Institute of Missouri, which
teaches them to be evangelist.
-
evangelists across the country in an effort to reach and
teach the lost.
Locally we are continuing our evangelism ministry
with the goal of reaching all members of our community. These efforts are
currently being blessed by God.
