Will You Miss The Feast?
by Paul D. Fisher

"Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at the supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come" (Luke 14:16-20).

When we read this story we feel sorry for the man who made the great supper. A lot of preparation most have gone into this feast because the certain man sent his servant out into the streets, lanes, highways and hedges looking for people to come and eat. Our sorrow for this man changes to anger and rage at the people who were invited and when the day came made every excuse in the book for not coming. How would you feel if the same thing happened to you? If you are like me, you would be upset and outraged with these types of excuses.

You are invited to a great feast! Much time and preparation has gone into preparing this feast. Will you come or will you, like those above, make excuses when the time arrives for your attendance? Starting May 4, at 7:00 p.m., such a feast will begin and you are invited. You can even bring guests with youl Will you miss the feast for your eternal soul?
